Mini Potamotrygon Leopoldi Variant

Saturday, July 9th, 2011

Topstingray has achieved another seemingly impossible task; this time we have a dwarf Potamotrygon Leopoldi Variant which measured only 2.5″ in diameter! Usually black stingray pups that are born this small in size usually are guaranteed to die shortly after birth.

Some breeders believe that this is due to the premature nature of the pup when it is born. Like in any animal, including human beings, prematurely born offspring/babies have very little chance of surviving.

But because of our own special techniques, we have successfully kept this premature dwarf Potamotrygon Leopoldi Variant for over four months. This black stingray pup was born in a batch of 5 other Potamotrygon Leopoldi Variants, but this was the only one that was this small. For the Topstingray team; this was by far the most difficult task for us to achieve to date.
